Code Red Ink is an upscale tattoo studio located out of the Blakney shopping center in Charlotte, North Carolina. Our concept offers a comforting and welcoming studio that produces the highest quality artwork at a competitive price. Cleanliness is our first priority and should be yours too when choosing your artist. With single use equipment and proper disinfection in between clients, we guarantee a sterile work environment during each and every session.

Code Red Ink solely uses the top rated products in the tattoo industry. This includes Cheyenne Machines, single use needles, and disposable grips, as well as Eternal, Fushion, and Dynamic Inks. To ensure proper sanitization in between every appointment, we use Madacide-fd, Cavacide, and Rejuvenate.

Carolyn Mays
Becoming a tattoo artist has always been a dream of mine. I fell in love with art at a young age and studied mixed media throughout my adolescence. Once I hit high school, I began to sell my custom designs to people in my community which is when my interest in pursing art as a career became a reality. After I graduated, I taught myself graphic design and sold logos to small businesses. Soon after in 2018, I was offered a tattoo apprenticeship.
The idea to create my own business began in 2020 which is when I started Code Red Ink. I am beyond grateful for everyone who has supported me in my journey and all of my amazing clients who put their trust in me and my art every day. Tattooing is so much more to me than just a job and I put my heart into every piece. Everyone is welcome in my studio and I hope to hear from you soon!
